CAFOD

The challenge

The theme of CAFOD’s strategic framework statement ‘Our Common Home’ is Integral Ecology, highlighting the interconnected solutions needed to care for our earth and global society. The brief was to create a brochure which reflected this interconnected, ‘round’ theme whilst adhering to CAFOD’s brand style. There was also a requirement to create an infographic summarising CAFOD’s world view.

The solution

The design uses a simple circular motif to reflect the integral ecology theme. On the cover this circle motif, both holds the title ‘Our Common Home’ and visually represents our home, the earth. The clean layout, with plenty of white space, allows the strong message of the text to stand out. The chosen infographic uses a woven basket structure within a circular frame to convey CAFOD’s interconnected strategy.

We wanted a fresh, positive look to tell a complex, interconnected story in a clear, appealing way. Mary listened to our needs and gave shape to our ideas. She was very responsive to our detailed asks, while offering guidance to steer us towards the finished product. We are delighted with the outcome!
