Campaign to promote councillor applications

The challenge

One of the main objectives of this campaign was to appeal to a younger audience. The council particularly wanted to encourage younger people to apply, to balance the older demographic so often found among councillors.

The solution

The iconography of texting and emojis was used to carry the information. This looked engaging and, most importantly, resonated with younger people.

The mobile phone image, achieved by combining a stock photo with in-house illustrations, formed the basis of this successful campaign. Collateral included posters, leaflets, social media graphics, advertisements and digital screens.
